REDEFINING COLLEGE AND POST-SECONDARY PREPARATION
In January 2021 Elyria Catholic High School launched a new frontier in learning, enabling students to expand their education beyond the classroom and open doors to hands-on learning and future career discovery. One of the most significant ways a high school can help students is to assist them in developing educational plans, informed career choices, and coveted professional skills. The Elyria Catholic High School EXP³ program does just that!

Through collaboration with business and community partners who share a vision and passion for forming tomorrow’s leaders, Elyria Catholic High School has extended student preparedness beyond high school and college. An Elyria Catholic education helps lay a solid foundation for students’ eventual careers and futures.

HIGH SCHOOL IS THE TIME

Exposing high school students to a variety of career paths:

• helps direct them to the right fit for their skills and passions;
• allows them to make educated choices about colleges and majors;
• reduces financial costs related to major changes in college;
• provides a springboard to other self-directed student opportunities;
• opens doors for networking, internship, and employment offerings.

EXP³ explore - experience - express

Open to students at every grade level, the EXP³ program allows Elyria Catholic students to explore a growing list of careers in corporations, professional practices, and non-profit organizations. Students will experience real world work environments and tasks first hand, and reflect on and express their thoughts on those experiences.

The EXP³ program builds on EC corporate, community, and alumni partnerships to provide EC students with a comprehensive list of opportunities through: the Corporate Partners Program, Leadership Development & Service Learning, and the EXP³ Career Center.
