Service Hours

Organizations are always contacting us for opportunities for service.  Listed below are the ones that are currently in need of volunteers.

St Jude Helping Hands Food Pantry

Service Hour Requirements for 2020-2021 School Year

• Service hour form (link provided in Theology class)  must be filled out at the end of each semester
• Students are required to do 20 hours of community service per year.
• Each student must have at least 10 of those service hours completed by the end of the first semester.
• A single day of service is capped at 5 hours. (For example, if you work your parish festival for 7 hours on a single day, only 5 of those hours will count towards service)
• A multiple day event is capped at 10 hours. (If you work a weekend retreat for 48 hours, only 10 of those hours will count)
• You MUST provide the NAME and PHONE NUMBER of the person supervising the service. (the person must be a supervisor and not a parent or relative, unless they were running the service event)

RESTRICTIONS:

• Service must be for a NON-PROFIT
  • this includes, schools, churches, and charitable organizations
  • this does NOT include any for-profit business EVEN IF YOU DO NOT GET PAID (e.g. volunteering at uncle's car wash business)
